The dynamic duo of Ryan Beckley and Erik Breckenfelder are joining forces with Team Atlas for the Race World Offshore Key West World Championship! 🏁
Ryan Beckley, a seasoned throttleman from Sarasota, Fla., is no stranger to the offshore racing scene. With 30 years under his belt, he’s introduced many to the thrilling world of offshore racing. Now, he’s partnering with rookie racer Erik Breckenfelder, a performance-boat aficionado who moved from the windy city of Chicago to sunny Cape Coral, Fla. The two will be racing in the Super Stock-class 32-foot Doug Wright catamaran — our very own “Atlas.”
But there’s a twist! Beckley, originally from Key West, needed this particular boat to support his long-standing sponsors for the annual Key West Worlds. So, while the boat will still sport the name “Atlas,” it’ll also feature graphics from Beckley’s loyal sponsors. Talk about teamwork! 🤝
Erik is super pumped about this new adventure. He shared, “I want to get out there and feel what it’s like to be in the race traffic, know what to do and when to do it.” And his wife, Julie? She’s all in, cheering him on with a mix of excitement and a touch of nerves. 🎉
Beckley’s main goal? To safely complete all three Key West races and finish among the top teams. With 12 or 13 teams expected, the competition is fierce, but we’re rooting for them! 🌟
